Feldenkrais Neuromuscular Reeducation

Description

"Unlearn" patterns of stress and tension built up from lifelong habits or injuries and improve your posture and mobility. With Feldenkrais Neuromuscular Re-education, you enhance the ability of your brain to learn easy and pleasurable movement. The goal is to regain fluidity and comfort of an optimally functioning body. Recover from chronic pain (especially frozen shoulders, back, neck pain that hasn't responsed to other approaches), prevent and recover from injuries, sleep better, and relieve symptoms of neurological conditions, including MS or restless leg syndrome. My body mechanics & body intelligence-based approach transforms the way you "move through life" at the neurological level. An effective alternative to drugs, surgery or living with the feeling of "premature aging." Guaranteed results. Insurance accepted. $20 off first session for private pay.

Profile and Credentials

Eveline Wu is a Guild-Certified Feldenkrais practitioner with 4 years training in the physics of movement and motor learning. She has studied with leading practitioners working with children, athletes, and adults with chronic pain. Her understanding of the body began with 10 years in competitive gymnastics, and her own process of seeking relief from extreme computer "carpal-tunnel"-like injuries she developed later in life. She has found the Feldenkrais approach enables her her clients to maintain changes and experience shifts beyond any other approach she's tried. She has worked & taught for close to 7 years, with an incredibly high success rate, and seen some "miracle" results, first in the California Bay Area, and now in Anchorage/Girdwood.

Philosophy and Comments

Through my experiences and those of my clients, I deeply respect the importance of looking at the whole body in relation to any specific injury or complaint. Your knees moves in relation to your hip, your back, your neck, and your arms. When I work, I use a gentle hands-on approach that allows you to feel those connections. Also, I understand that when we don't change, it's often because our bodies do not feel safe. I do not believe in forcing joints or muscles. I believe in creating conditions where your nervous system can restore function effortlessly. I have seen transformation be more integrated and last longer in this way.

Work Hours and Fee Schedule

Insurance accepted. Private pay $80/session. Also in Girdwood. Anchorage appointments available Mon, Wed, Sat, & some evenings.
